An urbex report on the most unlucky day of my life:
First, I forgot my torch, damn. First unlucky thing. When I got there I got into the garage no probs and took a few photos, but then a guy turns up outside having a look around. He then walks into the garden and I almost walked into him! Flustered, I quickly said sorry and that I was only looking around (camera in hand!) and he said it was ok. Second unlucky thing. My face must have been a picture! I could feel myself blushing- The face of someone caught red handed!

I went home to get my torch after leaving, but when I found it the bulb had blown. More bad luck! But the final bit of bad luck really was annoying.

After leaving my house to return to the house (minus one torch) dark clouds gathered overhead. Not metaphorical ones, real ones. Half way down, it starts raining. And then it chucks it down.

I only had time to get one half-decent external shot before legging it home and having a nice warm bath.

Here's the few photo's I managed to take before getting caught/soaked:

Some strange aspects to that house. Any idea how long it's been empty?

err not sure but lived nearby for 13 years and its always been empty. in fact, the only thing thats changed is that someone threw a brick through the window the other day! (hence the boarded up window in the pic!)
:):):)

It seems easy to forget stuff - worse is not having stuff with you and spotting somewhere when your miles away. I tried looking round a quite large place once thinking I could get away with light from the mobile phone and its camera, after a bit of mooching about and crap photo's the battery gave out1 :( Had to try to remember way out using touch - dodgy really but survived and now a bit more careful. Until that happens it doesn't register just how dark boarded up places can be:icon_evil

true, this place is fairly well lit due to the lack of any form of door on the garage but a torch is still helpful for exploring those little nooks and crannies
:)
