This is a very good website giving the history of this lovely building which was not purposely built as a children's home but a grand family home. The website gives personal views of life at Bramham House, which cared for vulnerable children between 1947 and its closure in the eighties.
My photographs don't really add anything extra to those taken by fellow forum people, but this was a special visit for me as it was my first explore with my boyfriend, who has now also caught the urbex bug.

Love the wood panelling! My husband got me into urbex and we're very much beginners too. We are off to Verdun for a second visit in a couple of weeks (underground First World war fortresses mainly) but we hope to get into Nosiy Chateau on the way. Best wishes and keep up the good work... TJ x P.S. your bra strap is showing girl!

Well Done MS, enjoyed your pics and report and don’t worry about flashing the odd shot of a bra strap, for us old folk THAT’S A BONUS:):). Thanks for Sharing!!!!
