Just adding a small footnote to the history of this place. Most recently a pub it's now scheduled for demolition as even those trying to save it have given up the fight and the developers have got their way.

When I visited it was completely open, and of course subsequently suffered a major fire. Easy to get in and I got some pics but no point really, just a trashed pub. I liked the outside very much, but as I said, soon to be gone.

Additions and alterations have destroyed some of the features, but nevertheless, quite nice.

And a smaller detail here;

is this the 'parklane special' you showed us? it looks like its been a fabulous building in the past, how does the inside look, dare i ask?

That's the place cd. The inside looks like this;

You can see where a large fireplace has been taken off the wall. Good money for someone there. The plasterwork on the ceiling looks original.

Another room;

I've put them in B&W as they were painted such awful colours! There is also a stable block which is much more original, and a small lodge house.

nice parquet floor anyway, shame it looks a bit 'pubbish'...the b+w looks good rick! you use colour very well though in your photography, especially since you seem to be a blue-sky magnet.
