This 17th Century mansion has in recent years been a care home and hotel before closing a few years ago. There is very little history available on the building which no doubt would have been a very grand home back in the day. The attraction here is without doubt the staircase and reception rooms, the rest of the building has been stripped of most original features. That said its such a shame to see an impressive old building left to rot like this, building work appears to have started here which no doubt came to an abrupt halt during the recent financial crash. Here’s hoping the building can be saved!

Did this one a few months back, but seeing as its getting a lot of attention recently, thought I would put a few photos of my visit up.

As always, thanks for looking

nice...like the wallpaper and head shot..its been on so much latley but people are coming up with some different shots now which is good.
