So.... i think it may be a case of not ANOTHER report on this place, i know it has been highly visited and reported on! However we were in the area, doing one of those "ticking off the list" days and decided to stick our heads in!
Sorry for the lack of history, i do not know it, and if there is any, i'm sure its been covered (a cop out i know!)
I am sad to say that the reports of damage are true, obviously this is my first visit, but there's noticable differences in the state it is in now comapred to all the previous reports i have seen...... Still the staircase is pretty spectacular and rather photogenic, and here is my take on that:
