That looks rather interesting, Cobweb. Be great if you can have a decko inside as there might be some period details there still such as fireplaces, etc, especially in the headmasters' study (they usually kept the good stuff for themselves! :D). I think schools are interesting too, as you don't see many reported. Good luck with that one.
Cheers
Foxy :)

Went and did a short recce on the place yesterday, got into the grounds and one of the outbuildings but there wasn't much to see, looking through a window it looks as if all the good stuff may be in one place, not sure though.

I need to get in and have a proper look. I've put the pics I got yesterday up in the gallery and onto the main thread as well.:D

just found a link to a website saying its going to be turned into a luxury hotel, but that was sposed to open in autumn 2006 so its a little late lol.

wonder if its still going to go ahead? and are there any builders etc working on it at the moment?

:) Sal

From having a nose around in the builders quarters I found a jar of green mayonnaise and the sun newspaper dated the 18 Nov 2006 and the place smelt and felt disused.

The company who currently owns Fishmore Hall is having money troubles and the property is up for sale. The estate agents that are dealing with it say that it's 'under offer' so that could mean anything.

I'm going up again when I can get down there mainly to see if there has been any more activity and to possibly get some more pics.
