Sitting to one side of the Houghton Grange estate, buried among the undergrowth, I found a little cottage.

This place was pretty hard to spot from the field it sat in due to how overgrown it's garden had become. Fighting through the bushes at its' entrance was a bit of a challenge, but I made it through eventually.

Going in through the back door I found myself in what must have been the kitchen at one point - although there was no cupboards or the like to be seen.

Anxiously, I made my way through the closed door on the other side of the room and found myself in the hallway. To my left somehow a bit of insulation had come down from the loft and found itself stuck on a copper pipe:

Isn't the decor of this place just lovely?

It turned out that this was little three-bedroom bungalow with double-glazing all round and and walk in wardrobes in each room. A small toilet sat opposite the kitchen with a bathroom next to it:

I certainly wouldn't be jumping in that bathtub in a hurry!

Moving out the rear PVC door I found a small garage with nothing inside. What would have been the drive way or back garden has now been reclaimed by nature, with trees jutting out everywhere!:

It does look a sorry state here:

Apologies for the excess flash on this one, but it was pitch black inside due to all the boarding around the outside.

Thanks for reading,

Nice, good to see some smaller places on here.

I'm torn between whether I like the smaller homes or the big industrial buildings at the moment, although the homes do sometimes offer more to look at
