I had always gone past this house over the last two years, when out on my travels but often thought this place was more rundown than anything else, and never bothered to stop. Then Rubex decided to upload only a few externals on her first visit here one shot happened to show the sewing machine through the window from the outside... Then this place sparked my curiosuity.
So gathering a list of places I wanted to see, an talking to Cunningplan about possibles and a quick trip, he soon shot to mine for 4am and off we went, this place was of course first on our list, curiosity had lead me here more than anything and I had to wonder what else the farmhouse had in store.

As we pulled up down a bumpy lane, Cunningplan had his doubts about the place an probably was not expecting much, but my gut feeling certainly was in overdrive, soon we was inside and the first thing we all saw among tonnes of dust was the portrait of a miserable woman, I then stared for a few moments an decided to start shooting about, I then made my way towards the next room, an yes I got piano happy a rather beautiful piano laid stationed directly infront of me, which was an absolute nightmare to photograph due to the sun on that side of the house.. Cunningplan was upstairs muttering away, as I ventured into more rooms, shockingly the house delivered and myself cunningplan and blod just knew the day was going to be good after this place.

So here is the portrait of gloom farmhouse! of course I did the right thing an told Rubex to go back its worth going back for despite the house opposite and she did :D

Yet again thanks for looking in and thanks for Rubex to being more curious than me the first time around ;)

Nice one! I take it you didn't have any trouble from the house right opposite?
Awesome shots as always mate, thanks for sharing :)

I love the photos you got here. I also like the fact that the portrait is in a different place to myself and Mikeymutt's reports! Thank you so much for telling me to go back - the portrait of that old lady made it so worth it!

Weird opening the door an seeing it on the side to be honest, but it looked good where it was, so I never moved it :)
No problem Rubex! :)

Haunting and atmospheric. Your photos tell a poignant story of lives lost and gone from this time. I love them. Where is this place?

Thank you, thats my aim to capture the atmosphere rather than arty shots, thank you :)
An sadly I wont give out its location to just anyone, maybe use the search fuction at the top, an generally look around your area, put some reports up and people may be more trusting, hope this makes sense :)
