Bishop of Elys Old House - Sep '15

Lovely old hall, there’s been a hall on this site dating right back to the Doomsday book. It was originally owned by the Bishop of Ely.

Over 100 years later the daughter of Sir Lawrence de Flete married Sir Bartholomew Everard and the manor descended into this family, and remained with them for several generations. The house was rebuilt in 1728. In 1824 the property was sold to a silver plater from Sheffield for just under three grand. Not bad.

To be honest this place was better from outside than inside, but hey ho.

As I've always said where there's a will, there's a way. Nicely photographed but the house needs a lot of work to it.

Yeah, fire surround theft seems to be a growth industry, Nicely Done X, Thanks

I recon there are a few fire surround communities about . Nice take on this house but it's a shame about the thefts.
