After my disappointment of the short RAF Upwood visit, I found this little "gem"

I don't think it's been visited before, but hey I'm no expert. It was an interesting walk through/around. What I thought was a garage in the garden, turned out to be an office of some kind. Lots of paperwork, car related information etc.

The house itself was pretty much 80% fire gutted. It was clear where the fire started, I tried to get the right angle for that particular photo but I was quite limited room wise. It's always interesting to see places like this. It looked like it was a lovely house before the fire hit. Such a shame to see it in such a state. There were still personal belongings in there.

I felt quite "happy" with my find, but also quite sad that this was someone's house at some point.

Enjoyed that - a nice find there. Loved the shot of the curved doorway leading to the staircase. Shame about the fire damage, was in an old War Bunker yesterday that stunk of a recent fire - can still smell it on me! Keep them coming, great work buddy

Thank you, I was really happy with this find. Took some getting in to but it was worth the scrapes and bumps :) it's been closed up for around 14 years I'd say roughly, going by the looks of the paper that I found in there. It looked a lovely house when before the fire damage. I loved the archways too. It set it off really well. I did venture upstairs to get the photo from the top but the floor looked really dodgy.

You should have seen what we had to climb / crawl through to get inside the bunker - but it's all part of the adventure :D. Yes, always be careful - usually in these places it is important to remember that floorboards and pigeons are our enemies!!! Haha

Pahaha! That's the best quote ever. Really made me chuckle! It is what makes it fun though. It's amazing what's around that you don't know about. I'll check your report out :)

Fire damaged properties are depressing especially folks homes, children's toys, the families bits an pieces, I've always bin a downer for me.

I agree Smiler, I didn't know this place was there. I was actually on my way to somewhere else. It looked a lovely house, beamed etc.

Interesting on street view this one, from the road its still occupied, but the view from the layby (which is now closed off) its derelict, have been there a few times, in urbex terms access is remarkably easy ;)

It wasn't easy yesterday! Lol. But I really hadn't seen it before. Always a bit sad when there's still belongings in there. Are you local to the area then? :)

My comment looks like it didn't post. It was a difficult one to get into the actual house. But we found it completely by mistake 😊

Smashing shots.A bit ironic to see the kids book of fire fighters after looking at at the devastation here.Nice one, thanks for sharing

Exactly what ran through my mind. And the newspaper that had a story about the mansion that burnt down after being struck by lightening as well. Did feel strange being in someone's "home" but it was a good find. For want of a better phrase.
