History:

Not much to go by for the history as its really hard to find anything out but what I have found out is that it was built by Sheffield Corporation Water Board
at the time they were constructing the nearby Underbank Reservoir which started in June 1890 and was completed in June 1903.

Holme Cottage is located at the rear of the land with another building at the front which was probably a Forge or Metal Workshop.

From what we gathered while in the place it was last occupied by an old man whose wife had died many years before upon his death there was no living relatives to claim the house or the belongings so it has just been left frozen in time.
