History:
History is hard to find on this one as the newer build care home down the road is also called Bolton Hall.

Bolton Hall was demolished during the late 20th century and replaced by residential care home for the elderly.
There is reason to believe that archaeological remains may be disturbed in the course of the proposed development, though little is known of their nature or state of preservation. A southern extension to Bolton Hall Care Home was proposed and an archaeological watching brief was undertaken. This watching brief was designed to satisfy a condition placed on planning consent for the extension by South Yorkshire Archaeological Service.

Visit:
Not much to say about the place, it looks either like it never got finished or has been nearly completely gutted with starts of Demo. Not much in way of photo opportunities but not a bad look round either before its gone for good.

Very well done this one. As there seems to be some kind on building work going on outside, I wonder if the plan is to make this building into apartments.
