As you've guessed from the name. It is in a poor state.

I spotted this place by chance through a tiny gap in the hedge. Because it's got a secondary school next to it, what may have been a sweet little house has now reached a sticky ending. Nothing more than the usual "come check out this haunted house, and oh wow look at that spooky graphiti" sort of youths. I stopped off, not expecting any entry point. I found it and got my camera. The house was lived in by an elderly man up until 2005. Old photos and personal memories just about survive. The floors are now really dodgy.

I couldn't think of any better names, so I settled with Smash shack. Trashed locations are not my majority.

Thanks for looking

I hate seeing places destroyed in this way, I don't like thieving either but I can understand why it's doneđź‘ą You can only photograph what's there to see Dauntless and you did a sound job of that, Thanks

The old black and white photos and letters on the floor must of meant something to somebody once, how sad.

One person's treasured mementos are usually just another person's load of rubbish for the bin - especially so when the other persons are family members! Seen that scenario so often in my lifetime. From the evidence here, the really sad thing is that it appears the gentleman could have had two daughters. If they are in the UK and still alive, why do we still see this sad reflection on his life? I have met a number of people who were estranged from their parents/parent and always said the same thing - make it up before it's too late. Tears over a grave site bring cold comfort to the living!

Another great find despite it being ruined. Your radar must be working at max capacity with the amount you have uncovered recently. Keep it up mate. Thanks for sharing!

Lone days out are happening every weekend. Got another unexplored part of the county next. :smile-new:

He would have been more attached to his possessions as he got older.

Thanks for the comments.
