Default Allotment Cottage - August 2017

    Found this house by chance.

Going by it's location, I expected this to be a local smash-up shack and what a surprise, it was. What started off as two beautiful cottages has now been reduced to a dark dingy smelly wreck. Since it is derelict, I took some photos around it. The abandonment year is unknown. I assume the last owner once kept a dog here.

A very sad looking cottage. I'm not too keen on the previous owner's colour scheme, a bit wild especially the bathroom.
When the going gets tough - the tough get going.

I have to agree with Hugh on the colour scheme, it has a sixties look, the fire surround pictured were popular along with the bright colours, I don't think I would want it now but back in the day I thought it was,Way Out Man🌻, Great find Dauntless, Loved it, Thanks

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
