Default House near Leeds, June 2017

Don’t have any info on this one I’m afraid, beyond the fact that it was clearly a residential property attached to a farm. I was having a bad camera day on this day, not helped by the fact that I didn’t take my tripod which would have been helpful in this fairly dark, boarded property. Was fairly uncomfortable here, to be honest. The amount children’s possessions left in the house suggested some kind of misfortune that I don’t want to think too much about. As a result it's taken me a while to get round to doing something with the pics.

    Record players were nice tho...

    Few more pics here

Superb stuff. Loads of nick-nack's and possessions here. All beautifully captured. Enjoyed that. But yes, tinged with sadness.

Oh I know! I never even realised ‘TV NOTES’ were a thing, let alone gendered ones!

That's a nice find full of nostalgia for me and us oldies. The television notes, there can't be many issues going around. And thanks to oldscrote for finding a copy online, I think I might make the Television Christmas cake to see if it's any different to an ordinary Christmas cake. I love the grams and the vinyl records. Nice find.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
