Location
Cambridgeshire.
This is not a new location but is definitely an interesting explore. Abandoned about a decade ago this old Nursing home has stood untouched for most of the time. compared to when I first visited in summer last year not much has changed apart from the Scrabble game board being stolen. The building has decayed in such a way that it is dangerous to step in certain areas even on the ground floor. Due to the building being covered by trees it is difficult to get enough lighting for photos meaning most came out either too dark or blurry. The building is filled with wheelchairs beds and personal family photos which is always interesting.

The explore

Compared to most other visits the explore was rather relaxed only requiring a short bike ride along the "Busway" which made things much easier. Entering the building is hard much of a challenge apart from the locals watching us enter.

Once Inside it was a case of avoiding the fallen parts of the ceiling and first/second floor.

From some parts the roof was visible from the ground.

The little amounts of light within the building did have some photo opportunity.

It's unusual to see a living room like this in a building so decayed.

You can tell photographers have been in this building, with areas being set up for dramatic photos.

Up stairs was far more untouched, the floor going down under every foot step made getting around difficult.

Some bedrooms looked as if they haven't had anything moved since the building was closed.

Other rooms looked as if they had frozen in time.

That's the best of the photos I'll leave this one here.

I do like this place, it's extremely photogenic. Although it looks like some scrotes have had the banister away on the main staircase :(

You got some nice shots there mate. Rubex took me here a few weeks ago and it amazing how quickly things get moved about! Just had a look at my pics compared to yours quite a few things have been rearranged!

On its last legs from your pics, nice though, Thanks

Thanks. Still working on my photography skills.
I won't be surprised if this building collapses in the next year or two the floor was almost collapsing under my feet.

The place is a popular attraction to photographers. It's like a film set and is set for different scenes every time.

Thanks.
The place would be much better if it had more natural light.
The staircase is the same as it was last summer and by the looks the last remaining posts have rotted.

I like this explore, you came away with some good shots there KP. I think the scrabble board would confuse most pikes unless its lead one.

The scrabble board only really served as entertainment in this building. Often to see who could write the most, lets say, random word.
