    The Postman's House/Rose Cottage, Wales, April 2019

Another old house on the same hill as Bryn Glas.

Again, my Taid remembers this being lived in, although I imagine this one was even trickier to get to!

(All of these photos have been taken on my phone, so forgive me if any are a bit off)

    1. View into the valley, the house is in the bottom left of the shot

    5. The front door!

    7. This fireplace i found face down and in pieces, it would have been from the collapsed bedroom above

    8. Dutch barn to the side of the house

    9. Looking up to the buildings

Never apologise for using your phone - it is the subject matter that is important and you have an 'eye' for the subject! There are people with a couple of grands worth plus of equipment in their bag, that cannot better these images. As I have said before; I wish the i-phone had been around when I was doing my forensic images - would have been a great tool to have in one's equipment bag. A very good set of images!

    Thanks for the good feedback!

I certainly don't miss carrying about a large digital camera, that's for sure!

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
