Despite Beedingwood being set on fire and demolished last year, i decided to go back and do some 'early archaeology' and scoured the site for remains of the interesting details that had always made Beedingwood so attractive.

I was amazed just how much i found to photograph in the late afternoon sun. Tiles, original cast iron guttering, large segments of chimney, some initialed sandstone, huge structural supports and even a 90% complete floor still in situ.

Its the finest pile of rubble i've ever seen!

I don't make a habit of visiting rubble but this place is an exception, hope this is a worthwhile read.

Another great idea Mr B!
There are some really delightful remains there. Especially like the last one; it's a very attractive piece. Superb photos as always.

Cheers for that. :)

I visited a pile of rubble the other day, although not technically a habit, I may visit some more.

I was telling Mr B the other day that when I was a nipper I used to gather various finds from and around the derelict farm buildings behind my house. There was a huge slab of concrete in the field (a foundation of something or other) and I got all my mates to put their finds on it and we had our own museum. Another UE start!

a different angle on an historic old place, may only be rubble to some but your finds there have a story to tell, well done Mr B.:exclaim:
