1. The History
Not sure there is much history on this place. The former farm is in a predominantly agricultural area to the south west with of Grantham. The two-storey house is constructed of grey rendered block work with concrete tiles is of no visual merit and was the farmhouse for Spittlegate Farm. The house and the accompanying farm buildings are shortly going to be demoed as there is a proposal to develop the site with 11 freehold single storey dwellings of varying sizes. Previous applications include proposals for 23 homes on the site and one for 28 homes, but both were refused.
2. The Explore
Had tried to visit this place before but it was sealed up. The second time when I was passing just jumped out the car and snook in for a reccie. This time is was open but left my camera in the car so just made do with phone shots. Externally it is underwhelming but inside it is a bit more interesting. There’s enough stuff left behind to hold your attention plus the place has obviously not been modernised for some time and looks like a set off the 70s. So, while it’s nothing spectacular it’s enough to hold your attention for half an hour or so. It’s also nice to see a place that hasn’t been trashed by the idiots. However, it probably won’t be around for much longer.

The place is overlooked by the neighbours, who happened to be outside gardening, so this was my only external!
