A few photos from Tangley Place. Very trashed but quite an interesting place though. Hope you enjoy!

Cheers, Pipopo.

From 1947 to 1955 it was a convalescent home. Sometime later the MAFF took it over and used it as a research station until 1997 - studied the habitats of Starlings and Rabbits amongst other things. No doubt spent millions of tax payers money finding out that Starlings roost in trees, and Rabbits undermine railway embankments!!

What a lovely old place, would have been magnificent in its day. Such a shame to let it get into this state!! Nice pics tho, luv the mechanical stuff and pipes and gauges, nice work.

Another lovely building. We're having some right gems on the forums lately! Some very nice architectural details, and d'you know what? Even in it's derelict state it still looks rather grand and dignified. :)

Ooh, nice pics! Love the one with the gauges, they hold a fascination that's almost as much as reading the paperwork i find on explores!

What does the last word say in pic 3 on the wall? It's probably just "c*ck" but i'm curious! :p

Another beautiful building just left to rot  Love the outside of the building, its gorgeous, and love the plasterwork detail around the arches and the ceilings.

Any ideas on who owns the building nowadays? Im surprised no ones bought it and redone it up, althought would take a lot of work, still surprised no one has.

Cheers,

:) Sal

Thank you all for you comments! I am clueless about the writing on the 3rd photo: gotta go back there! ;-)

I ignore who the owner is exactly, but there are plans to make offices/flats. I heard the locals would like to see it restored...

Cheers, Pipopo.

the writing on the wall says this way to the rave, and has some arrows that take you to a random room if you follow it lol
