Winstanley Hall is a late 16th century house in Wigan, Greater Manchester (grid reference SD54430310). It is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building. Originally built for the Winstanley family, the building is one of only three Tudor buildings in Wigan.

Visited on a bitterly cold day and had a nice wander around. I accidentally jumped over the gate to the house at the front on the way out and bricked it when a tiger came pounding out of it's kennel.

Absolutely, this place is full of beautiful architecture and to think what it would of been like in it's former glory .. !

Those staircases are incredibly elegant and the attic rooms are to die for...I can just imagine having a studio there!
I love your style of photography, Stoka...your pics have a slight dutch painting look about them...great use of lighting. :)
