The weather was looking menacingly gloomy when this visit took place, but thankfully the rain held out giving myself & theterrorwheel enought time to check this & a couple of other places nearby. The purpose for the visit was to confirm this wasn't demolished & i'm pleased to say it's still standing in it's fenced compound almost concealed from view by waist deep nettles. Opened in 1958, it closed only 10 years later. Fire damaged interior, a precarious looking hatch, but nice to see some original stuff still inside such as beds, table, cupboards & kettle. A bit of TLC is what this place needs.
