Visited this on the way back to Stoke from Manchester:lol:

Date Opened: October 1961
Date Closed: September 1991

According to http://www.subbrit.org.uk the post is located on a golf course, when we visited it didnt seem as though it was. Also Subbrit says its locked but when we arrived it was unlocked with the hatch at a funny angle.

One of the better examples of an ROC post I have visited, at least it has not been subjected to the normal mindless vandalism and arson attacks and some of the original features remain.

Thanks for taking yor time to read my report:mrgreen:

With the hatch so well knackered you must have expected the post to be in a lot worse condition than it is, I am sure you were pleasantly surprised. Good report and pics, I enjoyed it, Thanks.

Would expect a lot worse from the state of the hatch and seems empty but very clean!

We did try and shut the hatch but it was having none of it, I think it needs someone to use a T Bar Key to lock it shut and it might stay shut
