My first forum post and ROC visit.
Visiting friends in Essex so decided to take a look as I was passing.
Post is in a fenced off area on top of a hill, and is very overgrown.
The hatch is damaged with a big lump missing from the vent. The hatch itself was very rusty and was not on properly due to damaged hinges. It was held down with a metal bar.
Inside the post was looking a bit sorry for itself, Lots of beer cans and rubbish. The door was on the floor. Some cupboards remain intact. 2 plastic covered mattresses on the floor. A few electrical items on the walls. The post was dry and didn't smell, even with the wet weather we have had and the poor fitting hatch. The pump worked so I emptied what water was in the bilge.

I left it with the hatch fitting a bit better than when I arrived. If I'd had a bit more time I would have collected all the crap off the floor and it wouldn't look so bad.
Next up when I get the time is my local ROCs in Bedfordshire.
