Visited my very first ROC post recently, at Ambergate, Derbyshire,

took a bit of finding with my map reading 'skills'!

sadly, not in very good condition inside, someone had lit a fire in there, and the place was covered in that dark layer that smoke leaves behind. amazing how useless a torch can be if theres not much to bounce the light back off!

not a lot in there, now, just a couple of chairs, and a cupboard, dissapointing after getting my hopes up by reading on the Britarch survey that it was in good condition, but then that was done a few years back.
still, hopefully future ROC visits will turn up better preserved places
