Result: Locked on T-bar only

After locating this post purly on photos from 28dl we drove and found the place.

The post appears locked but both locks have been cut off and the hatch is locked on the T-bar only. It appers to have been forced in the past by vandals as it is somewhat dislodged and bent. After some lifting and fiddeling with my new fabricated key we managed to get the hatch open and take a peak inside.

^indeed, i think the name of the blue and yellow box should be put into the forums swear filter to stop people using it as a search term to find posts with them and nicking them as it seamed to happen a lot on 28DL (not by the 28DL usuals, but by someone who was obviously watching).

a nice find indeed, well done guys.

Yep, changed my post mid type to miss that search word out :)

Hope it stays as it is.

Best thing to do would be to put a new padlock on it yourself if it's lockable (and leave a key with the landowner or strongly encourage the landowner to properly secure it themselves.

Frankly it's not going to be that hard to figure out which post it is. If you're that worried it's probably best not to mention location at all.

your lucky to find one with all the stuff in.
if it was me who found the post i wouldnt post the name or the location of it.
it seems a shame not too but.
i think it would be safer its a shame that so many have been robbed or worse.

it was securely locked upto the beginning of this year, an the hasps cut off so even new locks wouldnt secure it.

great little post to visit

Nice find. This is quite unique - I've never seen another where the WB1400 box is mounted on the cupboard wall and is seperate from the speaker unit.

I noticed this post become open about a year ago as it is close to a place I have reason to be near often. It's good to see the equipment is all still as it was and I think not bowing down to pressure from mods on 'another' forum to reveal it's location publically has proven worthwhile.

I'm not sure where the owner lives, as it is a large farm, but I have seen him driving a tractor on the field when I used to cycle around there.

s10's all the way ;)
another great trip peg great photos too fella shame mine are not as good :(

Just to add the teletalk in this post has now been removed. It was still there in late June 2008.

Not going to start throwing accusations about, it isn't my property, but I think it has to be someone involved with one of the internet forums.

It's disapointing that people

1) People have to grandstand and shout off about good locations.

2) People can't leave things as they find them. It's a teletalk, it serves no purpose today, why not just leave it alone?

I'ts not one of the best now, thanks to careless people.

The hatch has been damaged and was resting open, the post has about 6 inches of water on the floor.

The long grass which seculed the post from passing interest has been trampled by visitors which serves to attract other passers by.
