Just for the benefit of anyone thinking of taking a look at this post.

When I visited in March it was still locked, had heard before that it had 2 padlocks, only one when I went also. At the moment it's very thick with brambles ect.

When I visited this post in 1998 it was locked with a padlock and chain that was done up so losely that you could still lift the hatch and get in. As well as the fishing kit and box of 78 records (heaven knows what they were doing there, there was nothing to play them on), there was also a large box of hard core porn magazines. It seems a very strange combination of things. On the walk to the post I noticed a light aircraft in the middle of a field of corn. I walked over to it and found the cockpit open but nobody inside. I later found out that the plane had crash landed in the field the previous night. I was amazed nobody was left to guard it.

Revisited

I went back recently to see if anything had changed. I didn't think anything had and carried on taking a few shots. Look at this thread today to post some new shots and noticed something has changed. Not a major change but, still one.

Looking at my first previous pic there's a padlock on the righthand side of the hatch. On my recent visit that padlock is no longer there, but there's a padlock on the other side now. It looks likes it's taken a good hammering, but is still secure.

As you can see from the pics the brambles/blackberry bushes and hawthorn trees are starting to take over at the minute. The brambles almost ripped through a pair of jeans and it didn't even feel like I touched them. Shorts or tracksuit bottoms definatelt aren't advised
