Upsall post - Yorkshire group - July 08

We had a road trip of 3 ROC posts. Unfortunatley we couldn't get in to the first post due to a rusted T bar mechanism. I have applied a liberal amounts of WD40 and will go back in a few days.

Second post was Upsall there was a 'Beware of the Bull' sign on the gate to the field. We felt very brave boys and headed in to the field. I was sent first cos I was wearing a red jacket with comments from Pegasus2 and Buster like " If you're at the back the bull wil lhave to come through us to get to you." Cheers lads.



The hatch was promptly opened and we decended the ladder and in to the safety of the post.







Not much left inside but good to document.

Once we had finished taking pictures it was time to get back to the car. However the rain had stared pouring down and the wind had got up.

On to Osmotherley post.

great pics there shame there was nothing inside but the break from the rain was well needed!!

brilliant condition for a 68 closure!!

Looks clean despite being sparse. Whats with the two sets of beds though, thats interesting!

I only took one photo in this post. The FSM cover plate is missing on this post making for an intresting shot of light down the fsm pipe and shining onto the floor. I unfortunatly din't get to capture this as the others had already gone up the ladder and were getting soaked.

Buster was forth coming with comments about the bull in the field.

"Well *** is in red, so it will go after him first, hes our decoy...im in combat camo trousers so all I have to do I lie down with my legs in the air and you can just run away!"

A well planned escape stratagy there by Mr Buster...however it does involve the sacrifice of one of the team lol.
