This is the village of Crackaig (or Glac Gugairidh I'm not sure which) on the western coast of Mull. I don't have much info on the place but this site explains the walk to get to it
http://www.trekkingbritain.com/treshnishheadlandandcrackaig.htm.
Oddly the buildings all have rounded corners which apparently was to deflect the wind. The villages are a good two miles from the road across some pretty boggy moorland. Their only water supply was a small stream nearby as far as I can tell. Heaven only knows why they were here, it's not farming land unless you intend to survive solely on sheep.

beautiful. I went here a few years a go, it's a really nice location. Good pictures.

Thanks. One thing I didn't mention or photograph is the large house mentioned in the link as being the school house. The present owners have put a sheeps skull on every fence post around the property - very weird. It gives it a sort of Texas Chainsaw ambience.
