After thinking that this derelict garden center wouldn`t be that interesting myself and the mini explorers were pleasantly
surprised to find a little more than expected behind the facade.... I cant find any history on the place and it looks as if it was out of buisness long before the internet became available ...... a pleasant outdoor explore:)

snazzy motors ......

History

Hi there, great to see these photos, especially as Gaisford and sons refer to my grandad and dad. The nurserie at Colerne were the family business that my grandad started from scratch. They were very successful and traded for many years before selling the land for housing back in 1987. The yellow (ish) van was sold at auction when Colerne nurseries was sold and was bough by another nurseries or garden centre. I would love to know when and where these photos were taken.
Thanks
Jody Gaisford

I know where this one is:), I recognised the flower beds! Believe it or not despite every apperance to the contrary it is still open occasionally (check out the open sign on google maps) although they only seem to have odds and sods for sale in the back of the building near the entrance.

that Mk.2 doesn't look beyond saving.....or preferably racing!
