went up to holdings pottery, was a little late and lost the light, so will be going back to explore the last couple of rooms which are the best.
There was a shoe outside (see pic) it was old and looked new.

The Broughton Barn Pottery was founded on a large clay deposit on the windswept moors of Oswaldtwistle, this was dug, blended, washed and processed on site before it was thrown into pots. The Holding involvement came in 1842 with a small pottery nearby, 18 years later they moved to the current building. Originally it was powered by a steam engine (not longer in situ) but the line shafting is still present.

Great little place this. Good to see it still has plenty to offer. Nice pics.:)
 
I went earlier this year and got talking to one of the people who live in the terraced houses, They said they saw a lot of people come and go, I explained what we do and they seemed ok, probably thought weirdo.Its great to see how people move things around the place for their shots.
 
Nice photos, liking the shot of the gable with the moon in the sky above it..
