I didnt really know where to put these and i'm, not sure if its UE of not but here's some photos i took of Carisbrooke Castle which is just down the road from Whitecroft hospital-I really liked the sky in the pictures:)

Great pictures, you could have loads of fur running around there with various 10th century weapons and perhaps an inflatable dragon or two! :)

I remember visiting there in the early 1890's with me Olds, and there was a blind donkey (due to he used to work down a mine), who would pull a huge wooden wheel, think it operated the well bucket? Great to see some pics of this place. Ta very much for sharing them with us.

No it's owned by english heritage & quite a popular tourist attraction.

Havent been there since seeing a open air performance of "a midsummer nights dream" an night a couple of years ago. The wellhouse & the donkey's are well worth going to see.
