Hi Guys

Earlier in the year I reported an abandoned house near the forth and clyde canal between Dullatur and Kilsyth. Link to previous post: http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=2436

I believe this to have been a stable for the horses that pulled the barges along the forth and clyde canal in the 1800s before the engine was used.

Heck those horses had a better pad than I do now.

I'm going to uload all the photos to my photosite so I will put a link here once thats done.

Re: Update on previous report

I also meant to say in update that I'm still researching this so not 100% cert but I got my info from a department with in Coatbridge library who deals with this sort of this thing. When I described the location and the building the helpful gent said if it was the building he thought I was talking about then it was a horse stable for the horses that pulled the barges along in the canal 1800s and there is no other building along that area. I must say though it does look more like a old estate house. Have looked at old maps and although the building is there it is not named. Next step land register office in Edinburgh.

Have a look see what you think: http://s215.photobucket.com/albums/cc149/Derelict-Si/Horse Stable near Forth and Clyde Canal/
