Remember passing these on the road when I was a kid and thinking what a wonderful little building. Was passing through Leadenham and had these vague memories of this place and then all of a sudden, there they were. Only very, very bijou but had to photograph them. Don't know much about them apart from they must have been stables of some kind for the Estate House in Leadenham, Lincs.

Well recorded - an important part of the Estate history. Well and truly bastardised, before being left to decay, these are the original stables for the 'riding' horses of the estate, The driving/coaching horses were stabled in the much larger coach house stable block. An indication of how large the horse population was on an important Estate back in pre motor days.
