Hey all. I had a permission visit to go and look at some old greenhouses that were part of a stately home. The main house was built in 1676 and enlarged in 1869 and again in 1893. The main house has been converted into flats along with the coach house ect.
These green houses according to the kindly Gent who showed me around were left to abandonment in about 1985. Back then the locals used to buy their vegetables from there so it would have been a thriving place. Now the whole site is overgrown and I was wading through brambles for the most part! Totally unsafe to go in with the guillotine glass poised precariously!
As usual I am no photographer and these were taken on my iphone.
And through the trees! This was the potting shed!
