A location from last weekend.

I went around the county visiting derelict places with three other explorers, this bungalow I had pinned for just over a year. I missed a potential entry point on my last visit. It is literally situated in the middle of nowhere.

Parts of the outside have been cleared out but the entry point and the stuff inside still remains. It is small and basic but at least it's not a complete shell. A few nice bits remain, such as the old pram in the hallway.

Thanks for looking.

Not a bad condition that bungalow is in, the usual paint and wallpaper and a roll of toilet paper. Looks like a house for an O.A.P sort of, sheltered housing but in the middle of nowhere. A good find.

Most likely built as farm labourer or even District Council workers' accommodation. The Crittall windows date them to just pre WW2 or early '50's. The same families probably lived there until the last surviving member died. Common at one time, their need disappeared when private transport became much easier to afford and workers no longer had to live next door to their area of work. A large scale OS map of the correct period would probably give a good clue as to why they were built in that location.
