Triggers Old Broom...derelict farm, Ryedale September 2017

Hi strangers, I recently came out of semi urbex retirement because I found a rather lovely little farm nearby.

As one can image, there isn't much information on it, other than it was known as Triggers Castle…..cue Only Fools and horses jokes a plenty….


Interestingly On 31st December 1941 the pilot of a Lysander T1630 aircraft crashed in the vicinity of the farm, happily the pilot survived. I used to pass the farm often, it seemed to mainly supply hay to the local market, the old boy there drove a lovely ERF flatbed wagon.

Although the place is on a reasonably busy road, it's not suffered from graffiti which makes a nice change

Looks like the property was up for sale last year, for around £300k…..bargain! Hopefully it will become a swanky gaff…...the old girl needs TLC

That's nicely recorded. I think you' find the answer to "One of our roofs is missing" is on the ground in the form of panels. The house is in not too bad condition and at £300K is not a bad price considering what you're getting. A nice renovation project for someone. After I posted this comment I found an interesting story about a pilot and a Lysander aircraft. Maybe the same one.
