A Quiet Place...

I have never explored anything which was so out the way and beating the overgrowth to get to like this.
I guess some caves and alike take awhile, an baron hill did, but this house was so remote I didn't think I would ever get to it, I am glad its so remote though, with no one for miles an miles, it will remain forever untouched by vandals, an its contents will probably collapse and fall to the floor below, but still its a sad state of affairs.

So continuing with my "project" I guess, I was told of an old house completely hidden and a pain to get to, navigating maps and alike, I was rather close so why not attempt it and daylight was still on my side, well what felt like an hours walk after parking somewhere I could, I began what felt like a never ending journey, finally seeing part of a house poking through loads of bushes, trees and broken trees, it was time to navigate.

Once inside some rooms remained dark due to the foliage all around, so time to light up what I could, the kitchen was as it was left, a real beauty to see with natural decay occurring, an kitchen cupboards rotting and breaking, moving into the living room a few items remained coated in broken dry rot from the ceiling, then another room which seemed to be used for storage a few bird cages and a bathroom, wallpaper was rather beautiful though. As I made my way back to the main stairs, I noticed a piano which had broken and collapsed how had I missed this? I guess lack of light, upstairs I did not chance my luck first bedroom had a massive hole inside, second bedroom seemed fine, if I fell though no one would find me in here... No need for risks.

Anyway the house was rather special for what it offered from a photography standpoint, it remained as it was and it sits as it sits, I much prefer places like this, which dont look as though anything has moved or been meddled with.

On with the shots and this ongoing project! :topsy_turvy:

Well another part of human existence almost gone, thanks for looking alot more coming soon

It looks like nobody has been there except you. Even the toilet and wash hand basin are intact. A few personal photographs remaining give a sad reminder of who lived there. The house must be in a really remote area.

You'd have no idea how remote, was like a jungle, but yes everything perfectly untouched, thank you for your comment :)
