Under Strict Orders of No Urbex for a week!!, I did manage to persuade the Mrs to let me take a look at this rather fine and Rare Beast. Protecting a very low lying Salt Marsh Area just South of Cleethorpes itself, this is one of five along a Six Mile stop Line. Thanks go to Jonney for the Heads up!!:):lol: Thats all for now.

It was about a mile out Jonney mate!! The rest were even further than that!! I didnt have the usual Boots I9 wear!!! You said a type 23 Bck to Back yeah?

yeah mate thats what the basically are with only a smaller aa position instead of of a large combined one

Glad you seen these Shuck. Brings back memories of my younger years lol. There's one of these in the dunes at Donna Nook bombing range that we used to sit on in the late '80's watching the likes of A-10's, F-111's & Tornado's. Good times indeed!

Good stuff BS. Surprising to see no anti-ricochet wall in those through the loophole shots, I guess there is no room for one.

I was wondering why they developed the Lincolnshire 3 bay. What was the specific reason if any for it's design? ie what role did it fulfil that another type could not?

You'll have to excuse my ignorance. I understand it to be an adaptation and specific to Lincolnshire and a little outside my realm of experience.
