Getting the internals was fun I had to lie flat on the sand and squeeze through the doorway

Metalwork still round the embrasure

The shifting sand of the dunes over the last 70 years has covered this embrasure

Sadly there was no trace of the bombing range direction indicator and the only traces of the accommodation block was these

the remains of the unknown building turned out to be what looked like the roof of a pillbox but I'm not 100% sure

ever been tempted to carry a spade around ? :)

Funnily enough Rich I have one of them folding camping spades but never thought to take it with me, mind you I'd probably have ended up digging the whole lot out and not just enough to get inside

I often get tempted especially the beach ones lol its so frustrating wanting to see the whole things

your not wrong there mate I hate to see them full of sand or rubbish

too right there was a rabbit hole at the side of it which didn't give anything away, I stuck my camera down it and pushed the shutter button but couldn't make out anything from the picture, but hey it was worth a shot
