My wife informed me that she had heard that an old sealed up air raid shelter was apparently open having had the doors kicked in by yobs. So, we drove past to see if this was the case and indeed it was.
Unfortunately the shelter is once again sealed up, but we did manage a trip inside for an hour or so to take a look around in the darkness and the wet. It sure was dark in there, pitch black to be honest - as you'd expect, but I managed to overcome my fear of the pitch black thankfully. However, I only wore my walking boots - which are waterproof in about 4"-5" of water, but in the 6"-10" of filthy red/black sludge that was on the floor of every room in here, meant I couldn't venture everywhere. I wasn't expecting it to be flooded as much as it was... ho hum. I used two chairs to get around... standing on one whilst moving another, then jumping onto that one and moving the one I was just stood on etc. etc.
Anyway... enjoy.

Sleeping Area: I counted 12 beds in here!
