Another lone pillbox not in as bad condition as we were expecting.Internals not so good as the flash was playing up :(

DOB info is Description: 05/04/1996 Hexagonal, concrete with brick outer skin. Brick cross central pillar with rounded corners. Concrete stepped embrasures. 30/10/1995 A six sided (type 22) pillbox. The anti ricochet wall is circular and small. Three of the five concrete shelves below the embrasures are still position. The pillbox is located in a field close to the Grantham Canal. It faces Belvior Castle and gives good views over the surrounding countryside.

The central pillar doesnt match the description though

In what sense? It looks round and small to me. Although I would suggest it's purpose is to support the roof because it would have very little anti-ricochet effect, quite the opposite in fact... ;)
