I had to take in two visits to these three PB's due to work commitments, the thumping rain and the gloom of the early eventing. Missing Perry Lane at first didn't help and a quick reference to the maps meant i had gone past the semi hidden left turning. Driving up the narrow lane to a seemingly dead end i reference myself again and went for a look. Peering into hedgerows is becoming a strange behavioural patturn for me. Anyone looking on - just commit me now.
On the corner of Perry Hill Farm
Success at last and only a short hop and skip in the hawthorn bushes and an intake of breath and i was over the fencing.
Still easily accessible thankfully so a few looks around and i was in.
Great place to put a flag pole!!!:icon_evil
Still holding up well despite there being clear evidence of the crumbling state of the concrete.
Just up the Bridal Path and easy access.
Happier i wasn't encroaching on land, i took greater time over this PB. Sadly the gloom was setting in and i had to resort to flash. A clear view of the attempts to break up the lines of the PB.

Underneath the LAA pit and using the glow from the camera screen to guide me. I sat for a little respite.
With the doors jammed - i only had the option of climbing on top after a brief old aged struggle.
And finally - Cemetery Lane. A nice easy stroll to this one listening to the wind rustling the trees, the great feeling of being on a mission alone and with no one else remotely interested in the area. A walk past the housing on the right (nice house by the way!) and my first viewfull view of the PB after a nice cut through in the hedging.
Anyone visiting this PB needs to be aware of the small retaining wall and the undergrowth concealing it.
A strange find and curiosity got hold of me. The PB was scattered with CD's and varoius other items!!. Possibly stolen but who knows.
That looks like evidence of a fire but i could be wrong.
Again under the LAA pit.
Sealed doors and a tight squeeze!. A risk with a broken rib.
From viewing this closely the porch has separated away with a structural crack running the length of the roof of the porch.
Give it a few more years and this one could be reclaimed by mother nature.
Overall an enjoyable visit to all three. All three range in varying states and showing the passage of time, but worth the visit if in the area.
I have already planned my next four days off work - Reading Calcot area, Little Waltham - here i come.
Hopefully the read and photos are worth it for you all.
