Bit of an oddity this one. It's not got a data base reference and yet there's a photo of it on Google earth.I must admit I lived in Farleigh for 12 years and never spotted it although it's right by the side of the road.It was luck I spotted it today as I was in the vicinity visiting friends and wasn't really looking for anything at all,and I reckon in the summer it would be invisible from the road.It must have been one for guarding the Central Ammunition Dump just up the road.

the view from the above embrasure

horribly low door

the embrasures inside seem to have been built up with brick at a later date
what weapon would have hung on this?
The gun port by the door also built up with brick
reinforcing showing through in the ceiling also a glimpse of the ricochet wall
The view from the road almost buried in brambles
