What a hot day. It really was a decision as to where to go to. Complete some of the gaps or head over more towards Crookham Village. In the end i decided on a little of both and thoroughly enjoyed the walk alone the canal with a few deviations. I did not appreciate the horse flies or the hungry mossies today though. They must have seen me coming. i parked up in the pub car park where i had parked on the previous visit and headed towards the western section. It was the right choice as that heat was unbearable and it was a relief to get into the shade and into the pillboxes.
