The site that i am currently working on is located on the bacton road just outside north walsham. The defensive location hasn't been touched since WW2, the original barbed wire and pig tails remain in place. So far we have cleared the two structures of ivy and soil build up. The type-22 is in bad shape, the brick shuttering is coming out of place and the ivy has grown into the underlying concrete.
The home guard shelter is in better condition. The blast wall has fallen over and the windows are long gone, but the original graffiti remains on the walls. The next step is to clear the trenches of foliage.

this is the the type 22 before. bit of a state, eh?? D:

we spent the best part of the day cleaning off the ivy. as you can see the shuttering isnt in cracking condition. :neutral:
