Access is through a hatch but the ladders no longer there

The topmost box is along the top passage and it has a brick platform built inside for access to 2 embrasures high up in the top (seen as a hump from outside) which face south although one seems to face into the hillside which is odd.The platform had 2 slabs on top to stand on although one has been removed and dumped under the entrance hatch presumably by some visitor to climb back out.The north facing side has 2 embrasures covering the road.

The passage goes down to the lower pillbox and is strangely a concrete slope rather than the expected steps. This box has 3 embrasures again facing north up the road.
