Default Maker Battery Cornwall April 2008

Well, a quick solo explore on a saturday afternoon. Blessed with good weather i set off in search of something to explore and came accross maker battey on the rame head overlooking plymouth breakwater.

Now privately owned, most of the buildings are used for storage by local fisherman. Some original features still remain but nature is slowly taking over.

That is fabulous, MrB. Loved seeing some of the mechanisms still in place. Nice spot for a mooch too! :)

Yeah there was quite a bit underground, but most of the rooms were full of crap from the fishermen. That was about the best picture :)

    Thanks for the comments

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
