Shelter and AA battery? Margam Wales

Here are some photos of the shelters and what I believe was an AA battery overlooking margam and the steelworks Port Talbot, I don't know the history of the site sadly. It's located on the top of the hillside near the old margam abbey (can be seen from the M4) it's an easy walk up and it's on a public footpath so easy access. When there I spotted another possible site, more on that when I get some info.
Theres two shelter the same and the control room??.

If anybody knows any more about this structure please let me know. Thanks Wayne

And finally the metal roof structure, A radar tower or flak tower??

Looks more like radar to me, not much evidence for it to be an AA battery.

You could well be right, I was guessing an AA battery, I know they had them around Port Talbot to protect the steel works but the roof structure doesn't look strong enough for a heavy gun. Thanks wayne.

Guns weren't placed on roofs, they were placed in hexagonal gun pits on the ground. They follow a very standard design.

4 gunpits in a semi-circle with a control bunker in the middle.

Interesting place. The 'shelter' looks like it would have actually housed a generator.

Looks pretty good -I've not seen one with the metal structure on top before. Nice to see the original doors are sill there

Sorry for the mistakes guys I'm new to this, theres two of the "shelter" type buildings, although I only went in one (the one with the most nettles of course!) the other may be a shelter, they both look the same from outside.
The walk up was a bit of a bind, and it was hot as well lol.
