Now Photobucket has let me in!!! Hamiltons is also known as Cataract Bridge Mill and was the last mill in Stockport to close back in 2004, Hamiltons manufactured specialist fibre filling and wadding for the textile industry. Since then its been empty but there are plans to turn it into apartment blocks now.

Funky little place, kind of on par with Torr Vale except not as grand from the outside but better on the in. the strange thing is we found loads of brand new shoes in there boxed up? not sure if they where made by hamiltons or samples or the finished products which there fillings where used in??

Re: Robert Hamiltons

Come on guys, how many more times do I need to point out the no exact dates thing?

Wow, cool. Really like the look of that Havoc. Always good to see some new places being found.

And whats with the boxes of rambling boots left there?

Possibly samples containing material produced at the factory. I couldn't find a pair that would fit me (they were mostly size 6 or 8) for love nor money!! lol

I just deleted my pics from here today, didn't take too many anyway.

TnM :)
